Therapeutic Art
Our therapeutic arts program is undergoing an essential transition and we are not currently accepting new clients.
Please check back in soon about making an appointment with us and in the meantime feel free to contact us about other opportunities for involvement in our programming.
Our therapeutic mission is rooted in creative wellness with our therapeutic arts staff who are trained and licensed in both clinical counseling and art therapy. Using mindful approaches from Adlerian psychology of individual encouragement and community well being, we tailor our therapeutic art sessions to the needs of the individual. We are client centered and rooted in a strength based, trauma-informed, process-oriented, humanistic lens; one that focuses on the needs of the whole individual. Whether it is a young person in need of coping skills and anger management techniques or someone looking for a creative emotional outlet, we offer a warm, welcoming and open environment to guide individuals in processing experiences and exploring the self in a creatively therapeutic way.
Art making is an emotional outlet; a place to process and explore experiences, thoughts, ideas, relationships and feelings. It has the potential to act as a conduit for self esteem, trauma processing, communication skills, self acceptance, personal growth, anger management and healthy perspectives, among others. We see each individual as a unique and whole person capable of holistic creation.
